Capital Infra Trust InvIT IPO Good or Bad to Apply
Capital Infra Trust IPO, sponsored by Gawar Construction Limited, offers a unique investment opportunity in India’s growing infrastructure sector. While the trust’s financials are stable but not highly attractive, its long-term growth potential backed by a strong sponsor portfolio makes it a viable option for investors looking for steady returns. The trust’s diversified road projects and CRISIL AAA/Stable rating highlight its credibility and growth prospects, making it suitable for those considering a long-term investment strategy.
For short-term listing gains, retail investors should adopt a cautious approach. It’s advisable to wait until the third day of the IPO subscription period to assess the Grey Market Premium (GMP). If the GMP exceeds 35-40%, it indicates a favorable demand, making the IPO worth applying for mild listing gains. However, if the GMP falls below this threshold, the IPO may not offer significant immediate returns and can be considered for long-term potential instead.
